I love massage and helping people. I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for 25 years, and for the last several years, I’ve massaged the nurses and staff at a local nursing home in my community.Working with nursing home employees lets me reach people who would normally not have access to massage and seeing them so happy gives me such joy. When they receive this touch from massage, they in turn learn how to touch the residents in a more healing and loving way.This has an incredible impact this has on the service they provide their patients- our loved ones. At the same time, it saves the business so much money to deal with stress and injuries in house. As a teacher, I also love to be able to give work to other therapists as well as mentor them.It’s a win-win-win situation that gets me so excited. I love what I do!
I hope to make the world a better place, and what better way then massaging hard working people and helping companies at the same time. I love that a CNA, nurse or staff might be able to go that extra mile for your loved one because they themselves are cared for. It is the ripple effect of compassionate touch.
I grew up in the Netherlands. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 1992, and I’ve taught new and experienced massage therapists for over nine years throughout the United States and Europe. I began my bodywork training with the Upledger Institute Europe in 1990, and later moved to Santa Fe to get my massage therapy education from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. I received a doctorate in C.O.R.E. Education from Elfinstone College in 2008.
We come directly to the facility so that there’s no need for you to go anywhere, and it’s easy and convenient for your employees. All the massages are on a massage table, not a chair massage. This is a big difference because a lot of corporate massage is done with massage chairs, which does not provide the full benefits of massage. The staff members, nurses and CNAs are so grateful to be able to lie down and be off their feet for 15 minutes.
All we need is a space and some linens- and your happy staff.
